Although humility is a great thing, it doesn't mean that you should let anyone else take credit for what you do. If you've been working hard on a project for months, you should be the one to present it to the potential client or the higher ups.
In cases like this, you have to speak up and let the person in charge know that you're not going to let something like this slide. Because once you let something slide once, there's a chance that it's going to keep happening again and again. And by the time you get around to speaking up, it might be too late.

The best thing, when working with a team, is to keep an open mind. Most people are not out to get you or take credit for your work. They just want to contribute to the team and help get the job done.
Your team members will also be there to help out when you need help. There might be times when you just can't finish the work assigned to you but a team member helps you out.
And at other times, you might find that your team members come up with great, off-beat ideas precisely because they're not doing your job all the time. Sometimes, being immersed in a certain task can actually prevent you from thinking outside the box. And someone who specializes in something else might come to the task with fresh eyes.
